Frequently Asked Questions
- Yes, the GoodWe ES Uniq 6KW is well suited for Pakistani homes experiencing daily load shedding. With its seamless UPS switching time of under 4ms, your appliances do not experience any interruption when the grid goes down. The 6kW output handles a typical 3 to 5 marla home load including a 1 ton inverter AC, refrigerator, fans and lights comfortably. Its IP66 rating also makes it suitable for outdoor installation in Pakistan's climate including coastal areas like Karachi.
- The GoodWe ES Uniq 6KW supports a maximum PV array power of 12000Wp with 200% DC oversizing. For 645W panels this means up to 18 panels can be connected, though typical residential installations use 10 to 14 panels. The single MPPT input handles the string configuration and the 200% oversizing ensures maximum energy harvest even on partially cloudy days common during Karachi's monsoon season from July to September.
- The GoodWe ES Uniq 6KW is compatible with low voltage lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries in the 40V to 60V range. This includes the SAJ EK30 B3 16kWh, Sunwoda Atrix Max Plus 16kWh and Mesol 16kWh Infiniti batteries available from MartOnline. The inverter communicates with compatible lithium batteries via CAN protocol for automatic charge management. One 16kWh LiFePO4 battery provides approximately 6 to 8 hours of backup for a typical apartment or small home running 1kW to 1.5kW during load shedding.
- Yes, the GoodWe ES Uniq 6KW fully supports off-grid operation with no grid connection. It can start and run entirely from solar panels and battery storage, making it suitable for areas in Pakistan with very unreliable grid supply. The inverter also supports parallel connection of up to 6 units in off-grid mode, allowing the system to scale as your energy needs grow. The generator input port provides additional backup charging during extended cloudy periods such as Karachi's monsoon season.
- The main difference between the GoodWe ES Uniq 6KW and the 8KW model is output capacity and battery charging current. The 6KW delivers 6000W of output and supports a maximum battery charge current of 120A, while the 8KW delivers 8000W and charges at up to 160A. For homes running one 1.5 ton AC or smaller loads, the 6KW is sufficient. For homes with two ACs or heavier loads, the 8KW is the better choice. Both models share the same IP66 protection, under 4ms switching and up to 6 units parallel capability.
- The GoodWe ES Uniq 6KW comes with a standard 5 year manufacturer warranty, with options to extend to 10 years. GoodWe is one of the world's leading solar inverter manufacturers with products installed in over 100 countries.
