Frequently Asked Questions
- The Crown Nova 9.8kW can simultaneously run two 1 ton inverter ACs (1800W combined), refrigerator (150W), deep freezer (150W), water motor (1000W), 6 ceiling fans (300W), LED lights and TV — a combined load of approximately 4000-5000W, well within its 9800W capacity. For large homes of 300-400 gaz in Karachi or 10-14 marla in Lahore, the 9.8kW is the recommended Crown Nova model. With a 16kWh lithium battery, it provides 5-7 hours of full backup including AC operation, covering most daily load-shedding schedules across Pakistan.
- The Crown Nova 9.8kW and SAJ H2 10kW are comparable single-phase hybrid inverters competing in the same power range. Output: SAJ H2 10kW leads slightly at 10000W versus 9800W for the Nova. Battery charging: SAJ H2 at 240A charges faster than the Nova at 150A. Parallel: Nova supports 6 units versus 4 for SAJ H2. Warranty: Nova leads with 6 years versus 5 years for SAJ H2. Price: Nova 9.8kW at Rs 250,000 is significantly cheaper than SAJ H2 10kW at Rs 325,000. After-sales: Crown Micro has the stronger local Pakistan service network. For budget-conscious buyers who prioritise local support and longer warranty, the Crown Nova 9.8kW offers better value.
- Yes, the Crown Nova 9.8kW is compatible with 48V lithium LiFePO4 and lead-acid batteries. Built-in BMS (Battery Management System) ensures safe communication and optimal charging of lithium battery systems. Compatible lithium batteries available at MartOnline include Sunwoda Atrix Max 16kWh, Luminey Atrix 5kWh and Crown own 5.12kWh wall-mounted battery. For a 300 gaz home in Karachi, the Nova 9.8kW paired with a 16kWh lithium battery delivers 5-7 hours of backup including 1.5 ton AC operation.
- The Crown Nova 9.8kW comes with a 6-year manufacturer warranty from Crown Micro Global — the longest warranty period on any hybrid inverter available in Pakistan at this price point. Most competing models at this price offer only 5 years. Crown Micro nationwide service network covers Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Multan and other major cities, ensuring warranty claims are handled locally without international shipping delays. Purchase from an authorised Crown dealer like MartOnline to ensure genuine warranty coverage.
- Yes, the Crown Nova 9.8kW has a separate dedicated generator port — a feature not always available on competing inverters at this price point. This allows the inverter to manage three power sources simultaneously: solar panels, grid (WAPDA) and diesel generator. In Pakistan where extended load shedding can deplete batteries overnight, the generator connection allows the inverter to recharge batteries from the generator automatically when solar energy is insufficient, ensuring continuous backup availability around the clock without manual switching.
